TREVOR ALEXANDER
NaPoWriMo
Now NaPoWriMo’s on its way
If you really want to crack it,
Then write a poem every day
If you think that you can hack it.
Pick up your pen you would-be bard,
Roll your sleeves, take off your jacket,
Because you know it will be hard,
Almost any way you stack it.
If you can last the thirty days,
You’ll be in the upper bracket,
And if you turn a pretty phrase,
Well it might be worth a packet.
So, show your metal, join the race,
Grit your teeth and you can whack it,
But if you can’t keep up the pace,
Well then maybe you’ll just sack it.
